2. OXY-FUEL CUTTING & SAFETY
 This course is designed to teach the students the correct and safe way to use oxy-fuel equipment.

Theory

  1. Safe handling of oxy-fuel equipment
  2. Hoses, regulators and flash back arrestors
  3. Fuel gases, the advantages and limitations
    of different fuel gases
  4. Safe handling of gas cylinders
  5. Nozzles, cutting, welding & heating

Practical

  1. Safe handling and set-up of oxy-fuel equipment
  2. Recognize the hazards associated with oxy-fuel equipment
  3. Correct selection of tips for the job at hand techniques
  4. Recognize and correct equipment or process faults
  5. Practical applications of preheating,cutting, welding and
    brazing techniques
